Meta tags, search and share previews, robots.txt and keywords.

About SEO tools

The SEO tools cover the on-page basics: writing the title, description, canonical and social tags for a page's head, seeing roughly where Google would cut a title or description, previewing how a link card looks when it's shared, building a robots.txt file and testing paths against it, and seeing which words and phrases a text repeats most.

They work on what you type or paste. Nothing fetches a live page, so paste the HTML of a page's head to check its tags, and run Google's own Search Console tests on the published page as well. The previews are close approximations: Google and the social networks change their layouts and can rewrite what they show.

Questions

Can these tools check a live URL?

No. They work on what you type or paste and never fetch pages. To check a published page, open its source in your browser (View Page Source), copy the head and paste it into the social share preview or keyword density checker.

Will these tools improve my rankings?

Not by themselves. Clear titles, descriptions and share tags help people choose your result, and a correct robots.txt keeps crawlers out of the wrong places, but Google ranks pages on how useful their content is. No tag or keyword percentage guarantees a position.

How accurate is the Google result preview?

Close, not exact. It measures text in Arial at the sizes Google uses and cuts at widths SEO tools commonly use, about 600 pixels for desktop titles. Google doesn't publish its limits, adjusts its layout, and often rewrites titles and snippets.
