About Utlty
Utlty is one place for everyday tools: compressing and converting images, merging and splitting PDFs, formatting data, counting words, making QR codes and passwords, and more. There are 79 today, and every one is free, with no sign-up, no watermarks and no ads.

How the tools are made
Utlty builds on proven open-source software: MozJPEG, libwebp, OxiPNG and libavif for images, libheif for iPhone photos, and pdf-lib and PDF.js for PDFs.
Every tool is tested automatically in a real browser with real files before each release. A compressed photo has to open and keep its dimensions, a merged PDF has to keep every page, and a page that breaks on a phone screen doesn't ship. Pages are also checked for speed and accessibility.
